Veterans Affairs nursing staff preparing to picket

DANVILLE – Some Veterans Affairs Illiana Health Care System staff members are set to host an informational picket today in protest to upcoming duty reassignments.

The American Federation of Government Employees Local 1963 represents more than 600 members at the VA, a large portion of whom are nurses, union president Amie Pounds said.
