Philo board set to explore village planning
PHILO – After a planning consultant backed out of her commitment to help create a comprehensive plan for Philo, village officials have decided they will try planning for the town's future on their own.
Last month, University of Illinois instructor Alice Novak submitted a letter in which she stated that because of other projects she is working on and a lack of the village board's support and funding she would not develop a comprehensive plan for them. The board had discussed hiring Novak for five months.
