RANTOUL – Rantoul could soon get a new park not far from the Wal-Mart Supercenter under construction on the west side of town.
The Rantoul Village Board will vote Tuesday on a proposal by the Rantoul Park District to annex to the village 40 acres of farmland owned by the district along South Murray Road. The property is a half-mile from Rantoul's new Wal-Mart Supercenter.
