MTD seeking tax levy increase

CHAMPAIGN – Higher diesel and pension costs are behind a 15 percent tax levy increase sought by the local bus system.

The Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District will hold a tax hearing at 3 p.m. Wednesday in its board room on the second floor of the Illinois Terminal, 45 E. University Ave.
