Museum director: Trash can be good source for donations
DANVILLE – Sue Steiger sifted through a pile of books resting on a beat-up cart on the curb outside of her Swisher Avenue home.
Since Monday is trash day, Steiger, along with neighbors, had hauled out several bags and household items for disposal. There were a few items, though, that Steiger couldn't bear to part with yet, and so she took them out of the pile.
