Champaign boy nominated for heroism award for saving 5-year-old
CHAMPAIGN – A local Boy Scout is being nominated for a national honor for his role in saving the life of a 5-year-old autistic boy.
Simon Park will be nominated for a national heroism award given by the National Council of Boy Scouts of America, said John Williams, district executive for the Prairie Fire District of the Boy Scouts' Prairielands Council.
