Tolono moves forward with overpass plans
TOLONO – The village board has jump-started plans to build an overpass over the Canadian National and Illinois Central railroad tracks and U.S. 45.
The board passed a resolution Tuesday authorizing the use of $225,000 in motor fuel tax funds for the preliminary engineering of a bridge that would extend County Road 800 N over the tracks and highway. The resolution does not obligate the board to spend the money appropriated.
