Generator can be a lifesaver for rural residents
When the power lines and utility poles come crashing down around Katherine Clark's rural Urbana home, she'll be ready.
Clark has a generator installed at her home that can provide all of her emergency needs during those times when the power goes off. Clark wasn't affected by the recent power outage that left thousands of central Illinois residents without electricity. A generator can be a lifesaver – as it was for many rural, and city, residents who made it through the outage relatively unscathed.
