Champaign schools' test scores show improvement
CHAMPAIGN – For months, Margie Skirvin has been carrying around charts portraying the progress of Champaign students on achievements tests. The numbers were just preliminary but Skirvin, the Champaign school board president, couldn't help herself from spreading the good news.
"I figured I'm going to show them to everyone in town I can," she said. "I wanted them to see, this is spectacular."
