Danville city council approves new technology position

DANVILLE – City council members approved a new position Tuesday night that furthers a plan to improve technology systems.

At a salary range between $38,192 and $42,012, the new position will place a person in the public works department to oversee its software and hardware programs. The job will be posted immediately both externally and internally and officials want to hire someone by February, said public works Director Doug Ahrens.
