Planning commission leader says office ready for challenge
URBANA – Regional Planning Commission Director John Dimit told the Champaign County Board Tuesday that his office will be challenged by taking over a weatherization program, but can meet the challenge.
Effective today, he said, the RPC will take over the Low Income Housing Energy Assistance Program and the Illinois Homes Weatherization Assistance Program, which for 25 years had been operated by the Urban League of Champaign County locally.
