Man gets prison for defrauding union locals

SAVOY – A Crete man was sentenced to prison on Wednesday in federal court in Rockford for defrauding the pension plans of union locals in Urbana, Savoy and elsewhere.

U.S. District Judge Philip Reinhard sentenced Michael Linder, 61, of Crete, to seven years in prison without the possibility of parole, and three years of supervised release.
