Vintage warplanes to be displayed at Frasca Field

URBANA – The Frasca Air Museum will display vintage World War II aircraft to the public today.

If the weather permits, six to 10 planes will be available for viewing from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., free of charge, according to Nic Hansen, a director of the Frasca Air Museum board.

Included in the display will be a T-40 used in the movie "1941" and a Wildcat used in "The Battle of Midway."

The planes will be in the area between Frasca International and Frasca Field on East Airport Road in Urbana.
