Panel to start talks on possible smoking ban in Danville
DANVILLE – The city's ordinance subcommittee members will begin discussing a potential smoking ban this week as smoking bans in Champaign and Urbana kick in.
The last of three public hearings on the issue was in November. Those publicly supporting a citywide ban have been outnumbered by smokers and bar owners who oppose it.
