Rantoul to help power Wal-Mart
RANTOUL – When the new Rantoul Wal-Mart SuperCenter opens in 2007, it will get its power through a new electric transformer being built by the village of Rantoul.
The Rantoul Village Board will consider a proposal Tuesday to spend up to $30,000 on a transformer to serve the Wal-Mart. The board's study session is scheduled for 6:15 p.m. at the Rantoul Municipal Building, 333 S. Tanner St.
