Thunderstorm knocks out electricity for about 7,000
DANVILLE – It was lights out in the city center of Danville for a short time on New Year's Eve.
A thunderstorm that rolled through the city around 6 p.m. caused a power outage for around 7,000 customers, said Natalie Hemmer, spokeswoman for AmerenIP.
