Rantoul to codify its ordinances
RANTOUL – Village Clerk Jeremy Reale says Rantoul's municipal ordinances are a mess.
For example, if residents want to find out if they are allowed to shoot off bottle rockets, whether 19-year-olds can serve as cocktail waitresses or when they can legally burn leaves, they can go to the village hall to read though two thick loose leaf notebooks filled with ordinances and have difficulty finding the answers.
