Expert's view on water eases Paxton concerns
PAXTON – After learning from a professional hydrologist about the area's water supply, both elected officials and property owners agreed that One Earth Energy's plan to pump 1.7 million gallons per day from the Paxton area is not a hazard to public or private water supplies.
Gene May of Paxton, chairman of the committee, said he was glad that Paxton's Mayor Bill Ingold called to his attention the well site west of Paxton on the Kemp property along 1600 East Road. But following the meeting, he said "we agreed by consensus" the well will not cause a problem to the local water supply.
