UI to take part in biofuel research center
The University of Illinois announced Thursday it will partner with the University of California, the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and fuel company BP to establish a new multimillion-dollar biofuels research center.
The new Energy Biosciences Institute will be in Berkeley. Field and lab research will also be conducted on the UI's Urbana-Champaign campus.
