Company plans to build water treatment plant near Bondville
CHAMPAIGN – Illinois American Water plans to start construction later this year on a $51 million water treatment plant about a mile north of Bondville.
Construction at the 40-acre site in Scott Township, located north of Interstate 72 between County Roads 300 East and 500 East, should begin in this summer and be substantially complete by the end of 2008, said Barry Suits, network operations manager for the Champaign County District of Illinois American Water.
