Former bank employee admits to embezzlement
URBANA – A former Paxton bank employee who admitted embezzling more than a quarter-million dollars faces more than two years in federal prison.
Rebekah Etheridge, 31, who moved back to her original hometown of Denham Springs, La., after she was indicted last year, pled guilty Friday in U.S. District Court in Urbana to embezzlement and admitted taking more $280,000 from the Farmers-Merchants National Bank in Paxton.
