Man pleads guilty in boating accident
CLINTON – A Bloomington man pleaded guilty today to reckless homicide and reckless operation of a watercraft in connection with a boating accident at Clinton Lake that killed a fisherman and injured five others.
Byron P. Thompson, 29, pleaded guilty in DeWitt County Circuit Court to one count of reckless homicide, three counts of aggravated reckless operation of a watercraft and one count of failure to render assistance at the scene of an accident.
