Accused mayor still on the job in Georgetown
GEORGETOWN – Mayor Darrell Acord, who faces misdemeanor charges for public indecency, said Monday he planned to continue to serve the citizens who elected him to three terms as mayor.
Acord spoke after attending a public properties committee meeting, where city council members discussed possible improvements to the community center and city park in the upcoming fiscal year.
