The pride never left Rantoul
While Rantoul has emerged in 2007 as a changed community from the one that hosted Chanute Air Force Base for more than seven decades, Mayor Neal Williams says the village has a lot to be proud of.
"A community that doesn't accept changes is a community that slowly dies," Williams said. "Here in Rantoul, we have been working to adapt to all the changes. Our community is all about bringing people together."
