Gray, set to be sentenced, puts up fight on kids' name change
OAKWOOD – Kathy Divan said her three young grandchildren have not wanted to see their father since that Sunday afternoon nearly 1 1/2 years ago when he fatally shot their mother as she tried to collect her belongings and leave him.
But this week, the children will face Kenneth Gray twice – on Thursday, when Gray is sentenced for murdering his wife, Kimberly Gray, and two days prior, when he challenges their petition to take their mother's maiden name.
