Students set up site in effort to oust Eppley
URBANA – A Web site created by two University of Illinois students is calling for the ouster of UI Board of Trustees' Chairman Lawrence Eppley.
The site, www.DumpEppley.com, accuses Eppley of violating "numerous policies" in making the decision to retire Chief Illiniwek. It urges readers to contact their state senators and tell them not to confirm Eppley's reappointment to the board or the appointment of new trustee James Montgomery, a Chicago civil rights and criminal defense lawyer.
