Vermilion contract vote put off until review by finance committee
DANVILLE – The Vermilion County Board did not vote on a tentative contract agreement between the county and judicial employees Tuesday because county officials want the pact to be reviewed by the finance committee.
The tentative three-year agreement would cover about 70 employees, including workers in the probation department, circuit clerk's office and bailiffs. The union membership, represented by the Illinois Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 21, approved the contract last month.
