Unofficial results show an increase of 7,680 residents
CHAMPAIGN – A recently completed special census shows that Champaign's population has increased by an estimated 7,680 residents – an increase that could lead to an additional $900,000 annually in state tax dollars for the city.
If those unofficial results are certified by the U.S. Census Bureau, it will mean Champaign's population is now 75,198.
