Former UI worker charged with theft
URBANA – A former University of Illinois employee was arraigned Wednesday on a felony charge of theft of property having a value between $10,000 and $100,000.
Anjanette Jones, 38, whose last known address was in the 1500 block of Countryside, was arraigned on the charge by Judge John Kennedy. The charge accuses her of theft by deception in taking honorariums between September 2002 and September 2005, according to the judge. Kennedy advised Jones she faces a possible prison sentence of up to seven years, if convicted.
