Local pets sickened by product
CHAMPAIGN – For two sick Rex cats, intravenous fluid replacement has taken care of kidney problems that may have been caused by contaminated pet food.
Kent Davis, a veterinarian at Animal Hospital at the Crossing in Champaign, first saw Cecil and Millie last Friday. He put them on 24-hour fluid replacement immediately, bringing them to his home for the weekend.
