Ludlow seeks court order for ballot question
LUDLOW – The Ludlow Village Board is seeking a court order for an emergency referendum on borrowing money to build a sewer system that would tie into Rantoul's wastewater treatment plant.
Mayor Pete Walker said the board's request will be heard today in Champaign County Circuit Court. Fearing that a later election would jeopardize funding already in place, Walker hopes for a court decision that would put the proposal on the April 17 ballot.
