Nursing home gets more financial help
URBANA – The Champaign County Board voted unanimously Thursday to lend another $300,000 to the county nursing home to keep it running.
The nursing home had been losing about $100,000 a month even before moving into its $24 million new facility. The home once had a $3 million balance, but that's down to zero, and the county board has had to help it from the general corporate fund.
