Electricity rate relief put on hold
SPRINGFIELD– Lawmakers left for their two-week spring break without taking any action to provide electricity rate relief.
State Sen. Gary Forby, D-Benton, had planned to call a bill to repeal the increases that took effect in January and freeze rates for another year, unless negotiations with utility companies produced an acceptable compromise by Friday.
