Businesses rally against Blagojevich's plans
SPRINGFIELD – More than 600 business owners from across the state rallied at the Capitol on Wednesday to oppose an Illinois gross receipts tax, which they claimed would devastate the economy.
"We are going to fight this tax until it is dead," vowed Kim Maisch, Illinois director for the National Federation of Independent Businesses.
