Search for Paxton woman turns to water-filled gravel pit
PAXTON – More than three dozen professionals and volunteers continued their search Wednesday for a missing Paxton woman in a remote area of southeastern Ford County. A smaller number planned to be back at it today.
Ford County Sheriff Mark Doran said officers from his department, as well as Paxton, Gibson City and Rantoul police, the Douglas County search and rescue team and volunteers from the Paxton and Gibson City fire departments and the Ford County Sheriff's Auxiliary joined in efforts to find Jamie Harper, 20, last seen on March 9.
