Grain bin damaged by afternoon fire
CERRO GORDO – An afternoon fire damaged a bin full of corn at a Cerro Gordo grain facility on Thursday.
According to Cerro Gordo Fire Chief Randy West, firefighters were called to a blaze at Clarkson Grain, 320 E. South St., shortly before 3:30 p.m. Thursday. When firefighters arrived a few minutes later, they found corn in one of the bins on fire.
