Legal woes still haunt village, waste company
Officials of a former hazardous waste reclamation firm in Newman have admitted to falsely reporting on hazardous wastes to environmental agencies.
U.S. Attorney Rodger Heaton said in a recent interview that Hydromet was found to have improperly stored, transported and disposed of materials, some of which were highly toxic.
