Rantoul mayor removes spending proposal from agenda
RANTOUL – Rantoul Mayor Neal Williams has pulled a proposal to spend more than $200,000 from the agenda of tonight's village board meeting after the village clerk said the item is a violation of the Illinois Open Meetings Act.
Village Clerk Jeremy Reale said village staff attempted to place an item on the agenda awarding a bid to replace the roof at the Rantoul Recreation Department office building.
