Rural Rantoul man dies after being hit by vehicle
LUDLOW – An autopsy is scheduled for a rural Rantoul man killed as he walked on U.S. 45 on Monday night.
According to Sgt. Bill Emery of the Illinois State Police at Pesotum, Joseph M. Loy, 34, was walking south in the roadway about eight-tenths of a mile north of County Road 3500 N on Ludlow's north side when he was struck by a vehicle about 10:05 p.m.
