Judge lets UI students amend Chief lawsuit
URBANA – A Champaign County judge has allowed two University of Illinois students who last portrayed Chief Illiniwek to add conspiracy allegations and defendants to their lawsuit against the NCAA and the UI board of trustees.
A hearing on the lawsuit originally filed in February by Mattoon attorney Brent Holmes on behalf of Dan Maloney and Logan Ponce is set before Judge Mike Jones on June 5.
