Officers honor those who died in line of duty
Law enforcement officers from throughout Champaign County gathered in Champaign and Urbana on Friday to remember officers killed in the line of duty.
With a backdrop of a large U.S. flag displayed by Champaign firefighters, officers gathered first Friday morning at a memorial at West Side Park in Champaign. After a procession of squad cars to Urbana, another ceremony was held with the Champaign County Courthouse as a backdrop.
