Contingency land plans made for Farmer City
FARMER CITY – Amid a contentious land squabble between Farmer City and the Farmer City Fair Association, the Blue Ridge school district is preparing itself for the possibility that it might not have a baseball diamond or soccer field next fall.
Blue Ridge Superintendent Jay Harnack said the facilities are located at Farmer City's South Park, one of the properties at the center of the controversy. The fair association owns the park, which the city leases and allows the schools to use.
