3 area fire districts receive state grants

Fire protection districts in Rossville, Pesotum and Ivesdale shared in nearly $1 million worth of state grants announced on Monday.

"Local fire departments need to have the right equipment to protect the communities they serve," said a statement from Gov. Rod Blagojevich.
