Gifford woman facing more serious charges
URBANA – A new and more serious criminal charge has been filed against a Gifford woman involved in a Memorial Day weekend collision that killed a Chicago boy.
Melissa Darr, 41, was arraigned Monday for aggravated driving under the influence, alleging that she was driving under the influence of cocaine, oxycodone and other drugs at the time she sped on to Interstate 57 on May 25 and hit the vehicle that carried Raymundo Vasquez Jr., 9.
