Wi-Fi to be offered in downtown Champaign
CHAMPAIGN – A local company in the business of providing communications services, including fast Internet access, to student apartment complexes and other customers plans to wire, or rather unwire, Champaign's downtown for access to the Net anywhere.
Once installed, the wireless system should cover the downtown area and West Side Park, according to T.J. Blakeman, the Champaign city planner who has worked on the project with Pavlov Media.
