Veterans take part in Museum Ships Weekend in Rantoul
RANTOUL – The Grey Lady was back on the air this weekend, checking in with military ships and other radio operators all over the world.
The old Lockheed-manufactured craft of the Cold War spy game is permanently sidelined on runways at the former Chanute Technical Training Center, but her radios hummed as volunteers, including one who actually flew on the plane hunting for enemy planes, participated in Museum Ships Weekend 2007.
