Calls pour in after 'free house' sign posted
SAVOY – Since posting the "Free House" sign on the ranch-style home at the corner of Curtis Road and Prospect Avenue, Savoy Village Manager Richard Helton has added one time-consuming task to his daily routine: returning phone calls – lots of phone calls.
"We've had about 300 calls in the last two-and-a-half to three weeks," said Helton. "Interest ranges from 'When can I move in' to those who are serious (about moving the house.)"
