Shooting investigation could take weeks
CHAMPAIGN – A multiagency investigation into a shooting that involved three Champaign police officers and a homeless man may take weeks, according to a supervisor of the task force.
Urbana police Sgt. Dan Morgan said today that officers from Urbana, University of Illinois and Rantoul police departments, the Champaign County sheriff's office and state police are conducting the investigation into Thursday's shooting at West Side Park in Champaign.
