Bement Legion honors Old Glory on Flag Day
BEMENT–The orange flames erupted from barrels on the sultry Flag Day evening, and thick black smoke and an acrid scent swirled in the air.
But three members of the American Legion Albert Parker Unit No. 620 in Bement never faltered while folding more than 500 American flags and gently retiring them in the fire.
