Champaign city council to consider role in MTD dispute
CHAMPAIGN – The city council will be asked Tuesday night to authorize allowing the city to intervene in a lawsuit involving the creation of the Champaign Southwest Mass Transit District on the western edge of the city.
"It means we can participate, file briefs and other supportive materials," said Champaign City Attorney Fred Stavins, who said a judge would have to grant the city's motion to intervene.
